Le Chéile Day!

Happy Le Chéile Day. We had a lovely day here in Salerno. Here is a snapshot of the celebrations today and in the lead up to Le Chéile Day.
We began Le Chéile Day celebrating our Catholic faith by 'paying it forward' and giving each student a token for a random act of kindness. The Student Council introduced Le Chéile Day to all the classes and spoke about the role of Le Chéile and the theme for this year.
A Le Chéile Day reflection was read to the school community and was followed with the song 'Together We are Called', sung beautifully by two Leaving Cert Students.
Our Student Council visited all classrooms and gave a small treat, with the Le Chéile logo, to all students.
Positive affirmations were also given to each student to continue with the tone of the day.
The Trócaire collection raffle took place during lunch time.
First and Second Year students each completed a tile for a jigsaw puzzle that reflected the values of Le Chéile Schools as well as the story of our Foundress St. Claudine Thevenet. These individualised tiles represent their own connections with these values and understanding of the school spirit. They all worked together to solve and complete the puzzle and represent this in a prominent area of the school.
Members of our Student Council designed 3 cards and sent them to our neighbouring Le Chéile schools to celebrate Le Chéile Day.
