Our last maths competition of the year took place on Thursday 18th May, where ten budding mathematicians participated in the CEMC Gauss competition. This is one of a series of  Canadian competitions with over 80 countries and thousands of students participating world wide. 

The second years were: 

Tara Walsh, Laura Leahy, Sarah Conlon, Esmeralda Ngouana, Kim Hackett, Anushka Gupta, Louisa Hussey, Damaris Agbor, Emma Duignan and Zara Talos

Each student received a certificate of Participation, the top 25% received a further certificate of Distinction. They were Louissa Hussey, Zara Talos and Anushka Gupta.

The best achieving student received a third certificate of Outstanding Achievement and this student was Anushka Gupta. Congratulations to all!!
