A Special Visit

The Salerno School Community were delighted to welcome back Sr Monica, General Superior of the Religious of Jesus and Mary and Sr Carmen, member of the General Team, to the school on the 18th September. 

Sr. Monica and Sr. Carmen were on a visit to Ireland to meet with the Jesus and Mary sisters and to pay a visit to the JM schools here. One group of Leaving Cert students met with Sr. Monica and Sr. Carmen and spoke about our foundress, St. Claudine, the work of the Jesus and Mary Sisters throughout the world and the importance of community, hope and love. Our visitors were treated to some lovely music by the Leaving Cert choir, as well as a beautiful rendition of 'Gabriel's Obe' by Orla Flavin on the flute.
